Sticker Fab FENDER UPPER AND LOWER OVERLAYS (3D CARBON, MATTE BLACK, OR GLOSS BLACK) - 2015-2020 WRX / STI
The inspiration behind this design was from a small Japanese vinyl shop. These overlays make your fenders stick out quite a bit. That reminds us of the Varis aftermarket fenders at a much cheaper price. I am the original US seller and using US or European sourced vinyl materials. A little vinyl in the right places can really make your vehicle stick out compared to any stock vehicle! If you want to make your WRX stick out a little bit more vs a stock WRX, this is an affordable way to add some style. They are really easy to install! The 3D carbon fiber vinyl I use has a nice texture to it and is not just a painted design. The gloss black and matte black overlays look great as well. These install over the painted fender vent portion above and below the WRX or STI logo.
SOLD AS A SET. Only 1 set required per vehicle. 4 pieces total. Does not include fender emblems.
NOT ALL MATERIALS ARE CREATED EQUALLY
When purchasing vinyl overlays, keep in mind that not all materials are created equally. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. Also made in the USA.
Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber Films (3D Carbon) is a 5.6 mil calendered vinyl film featuring a clear repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. This film has excellent dimensional stability, outstanding durability and outdoor performance. This repositionable permanent adhesive offers minimal initial bond growing to permanent bonds that facilitates application of large graphics. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application.
- Minimum application temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Up to 5 year durability outdoors.
- Rated EXCELLENT for WATER RESISTANCE, HUMIDITY RESISTANCE, and SOLVENT RESISTANCE.
- Matte black and gloss black vinyl are sourced from a German company.
Please follow these guidelines for the best results. Clean the painted surface of the fender vent. Apply water or a soapy mix of water to this area and the vinyl. This allows you to move the product around and position it correctly without it bunching up due to the adhesive. Once it is positioned, use your finger to press the vinyl down. I do not recommend using a squeegee. They are abrasive and can damage the vinyl. You can press the water out simply with your fingers.
NOTE: Using heat, like a heat gun or hair dryer helps the adhesive bond and can stretch the product if needed to fill in gaps when positioning. When using heat, start low and learn how the heat affects the vinyl. My rule of thumb is that if you wouldn't heat your fingers to that temperature, you might want to think twice about heating the vinyl to it! The lower vent covers purposely do not wrap around the fender in order to prevent it from peeling up under various conditions. The DIY install will leave you proud of the work you've done. A great conversation piece as others will probably want to know how you did it all.
