Back Cut

What is Back Cut?

During the manufacturing process, a casted wheel, which has been designed to have a separation between the center portion of the wheel and the spoke, is precisely machined with a special tool from the backside of the wheel. This allows that area behind the face of the wheel and spokes to have a specialized machining effect. Some of these effects include a smooth area, a machined area and even a recess in which a stripe can be painted into.

What is Flow Forming?

Dynamic Spinning Technique is Advanti Racing's unique Flow Forming process. Flow Forming Technology involves the application of pressure to the inner barrel of the wheel, while spinning and after it has been casted. This process shares similarities to that found in the forging process in which the aluminum molecules are compressed resulting in a lighter & stronger wheel with greater shock resistance & elongation properties.

The process of flow forming starts out with a precisely casted wheel that's narrower than its final width.

The wheel is spun under heat while applying pressure to the inner wheel.

The wheel has now arrived to its desired width, is stronger, lighter and shares properties to those found in a forged wheel.
