Perrin Performance Downpipe for EJ Engines 02-14 WRX 04-21 STI W/ Cat
PERRIN offers this replacement Downpipe for those looking to improve performance on their WRX/STI and are using the vehicle in an off-highway, off-road and/or for competition where the OEM unit won’t suffice.
Design
Featuring a clever, two-piece design, for easy installation. The adjustable tail section will adapt to OEM and aftermarket Cat-Back exhaust systems. We include an additional O2 sensor behind the turbo to easily mount a Wideband O2 sensor for AFR gauges or future tuning.
Divorced Wastegate
The divorced wastegate design channels the exhaust from the wastegate away from the main flow coming from the turbo. This reduces turbulence, improves performance, and keeps any pulses from the wastegate from slowing the turbo itself.
Tubing
Built from CNC mandrel bent 3" tubing and featuring a full stainless-steel catalyst, the PERRIN downpipe features 304 stainless-steel for high corrosion and heat resistance up to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit.
Flanges
Thick .500" CNC cut stainless-steel flanges will not warp and are designed to bolt up to your PERRIN or OEM cat-back exhaust system.
Finish
The PERRIN Downpipe comes with a brushed stainless-steel finish featuring TIG welding for precise, clean welds.
Tuning Required
Proper ECU Tuning is required for the safe operation of the engine with this product. Engine performance and fuel economy will also suffer without tuning. Check all local, state, and federal laws prior to purchase and installation.
