BC’s wide range of retainers are available for most popular Sport Compact applications. BC offers titanium designs, CNC machined from 6AL4V billet round bar, and intended for race use (limited street, limited mileage) as well as steel designs, CNC machined from 4140 bar stock for superior strength and stability and highly recommended (when applicable) for high mileage applications.
BC titanium retainers are CNC machined from 6AL4V round bar titanium to exacting tolerances. BC recommends using titanium retainers on dual springs ONLY if limited street use (less than 7000 miles per year). Although titanium is approximately 40% lighter, and is perceived as stronger than steel, it will wear over time on a dual spring setup.
